I have had good results using engine paint from pep boys....i think it was plasti-coat....or dupli-coat....i have used boht but i think plasti was the better one....read the cans...one says to wait like 7 days to cure before recoating the other says recoat anytime....go wih the anytime ...the other one just turned out to be a pain for me.....follow the directions and you should be fine.....i have painted 5 different engines using this stuff and it works well and holds up to gas and oil and the like....actually use it to paint the bits and pieces when putting things back together too.
